IAT has implemented a Management System, which has been certified by AENOR (Spanish Association for Standardisation and Certification) according to UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2000 "Quality Management Systems" and UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2004 "Environmental Management Systems" standards, with the following scope:
"TO PERFORM ACTIVITIES OF R+D+I, DESIGN AND PROVISION OF TECHNICAL SERVICES FOR INNOVATION, AND TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT THROUGH TRAINING ACTIVITIES, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES, STUDIES AND PROJECTS, AND ON-SITE TRAINING ON MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, INNOVATION AND APPLIED TECHNOLOGIES".
Likewise, the R&D&I activities of IAT are certified according to the UNE 166002:2006 standards ‘R&D&I Management Systems’ and UNE 166006:2006 EX ‘Technology Surveillance’ in the fields established in its strategic R&D Plan:
"SOCIO-ECONOMY OF PRODUCTION SYSTEMS, PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT, PROCESS-BASED MANAGEMENT, PROCESSES IMPROVEMENT TOOLS, STRATEGIC PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT, AND PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY"
IAT is considered a "Technology Centre" both at national and regional level. In 1999 was recognized by CICYT as "Innovation and Technology Centre" and, as of 16 November 2006, IAT was qualified and enrolled in the Andalusian Agents of Knowledge as "Technology Centre" with registration number AC0002CT, as established in the order of 18 September 2006, which establishes the Qualifications of the Agents of the Andalusian System of Knowledge (Andalusian Official Bulletin BOJA no. 190 of 09/29/06). It was also qualified as Transfer of Knowledge Institution, according to the aforementioned order.
IAT has also the recognition of the ‘Research Results Transfer Office (OTRI)’ which is approved by the Interministerial Commission on Science and Technology (CICYT), registered with the number 67 in the General Secretariat of the National R&D&I Plan.
In 2009, 15 people of IAT obtained the recognition from the Ministry of Science and Innovation for the fulfillment of all the scientific and technology requirements. With this recognition, these people acquire a character of exclusive dedication to R&D&I activities in IAT.
This year, IAT has received the report which certifies that IAT exceeds the threshold of 400 points in the EFQM model of Excellence.
This stamp highlights the clear commitment and implication of IAT to the Excellence and all the aspects related to the Leadership, Policy and Strategy, People, Processes and Results in Clients. It also highlights a clear and evident approach to the continuous improvement in all IAT activities, its support to the management and certification based on internationally recognized management systems, as well as a clear approach to the business and professional network, in order to be a key ally in the competitive development through the innovation and knowledge.
